Yes and no. Currently, only players who are residents and/or have their accounts in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam are allowed on IDN.

Theoretically, however, there would be the option of opening an account when visiting Macao or the region there and logging in from somewhere else.

Another possibility is to move to Thailand like Michael Addamo aka “Imluckbox” to gain access to the extremely profitable Asian markets.

Conclusion

Among the largest online poker providers in the world is undoubtedly incredibly large fish pools with an enormous number of bad players. Nevertheless, at least currently from a European perspective, it is hardly advisable to want to play there. Registration is complicated, the machinations with collusion gangs or bots are opaque and trouble is inevitable. Anyone who can avoid tilting, if at least occasionally ripped off the table, will still be able to play profitably, but then there is still the question of whether you can get your money in the end.
